I have created a series of portfolios that impressionistically convey quiet landscapes, floral still lifes, structures, vehicles, wardrobe items, Sacramento icons, and cultural artifacts. Using an antique Polariod SX-70 camera, with Time-Zero film, I physically manipulate or “smoosh” my photographs during the first few hours into ethereal images. My final works start as enlarged archival prints. I then apply color by hand to each piece using pastels, watercolors, and colored pencils to produce small editions of one-of-a-kind prints. The size of each piece is made to order. These images are samples from some of my portfolios. Please contact me if you are interested in seeing other images.
